The Digital Construction Week makes innovation visible for the construction industry

Whether BIM, virtual reality or robots, the construction industry is going digital. The Digital Construction Week offers startups the opportunity to present their products. Viewers can easily get an overview of new products and services from the office, at home or on the road. This is very helpful if all trade fairs have to be cancelled due to the Corona pandemic. The digital pitch event will showcase over 60 innovative solutions for the construction industry.

All building fairs had to be cancelled because of Corona. But at the digital construction week, startups can still present their new products. This benefits the construction industry in particular. Until now, the positive state of the construction industry has provided little reason to increase efficiency. Although the corona crisis has hardly had any negative impact on this situation so far, a rethink is nevertheless taking place in this sector. The main factors contributing to this have been the shortage of skilled workers and the increase in digital understanding due to Corona. The existing efficiency deficits are exploited by start-ups and help the construction industry to place innovative ideas. Since start-ups often have little access to the construction industry, even the best ideas are ineffective without customers. The innovation driver Beyondbricks has therefore specialized in bringing startups and users together. Because the startup trade fair TECH IN CONSTRUCTION had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, the digital trade fair was set up with the support of the German Construction Industry Association (HDB) and the Federal Association of Digital Construction (BDBau). It will be held online from December 14 to 18, 2020. Architects, building contractors and tradesmen will be able to find out about the latest innovations from the comfort of their own homes or offices without incurring travel expenses.
